My name is Katelyn, I'm a 20-year-old red head with a smart mouth who doesn't know what she wants or how to get it. I go to school at UMass Amherst, I major in English and hate it with a burning passion, but secretly wish that I loved it. I'm sarcastic and I love to make people laugh. I've been told I have a narcissistic personality, but in reality I'm just insecure and working on it. I'm convinced that some Hersey's chocolate, a nap, and 30-45 minutes of listening to John Mayer can fix anything. I am the biggest procrastinator you will ever meet (I'm really not exaggerating) and I really wish there was something I could do about it. I am desperately trying to figure out who I am, life, and what I want from it, but I don't seem to be getting anywhere. I'm dying to find something real, and I won't stop looking till I do.

I still find magic every day in the world and in life and wish that I could write about it, but for one reason or another I lost my drive for writing a long time ago. I guess that's what this journal's about, starting small and building back what I've lost. Part of me wants to believe I've got some creativity hidden up my sleeve, still lingering from days past when I wouldn't stop dreaming; some that was too stubborn to let go of them when I did. I hope I'm right.
